  YOUR ASA EXPERIENCE
You will receive individualized support from ASA’s advisors and staff throughout your program application process, while you are abroad, and when you return.

Before you depart we will work with you and the staff at your home institution to help you prepare for your time abroad by giving you personal access to our Student Success program, which will help you maximize your experience in your host country. You will also receive a detailed pre-departure orientation guide which will help you know what to pack, what to expect when you arrive, and how to stay safe while abroad.

Once you arrive in Sevilla you will participate in our onsite orientation with the other ASA students in your group. ASA’s site director will introduce you to your host city and culture through orientation and multiple events during the program. Our intentionally small group sizes allow ASA’s students to get to know one another and are an aspect of our programs for which our alumni consistently express their appreciation. You will have opportunities to meet other students and lots of new people through your classes, social events and optional language partners.

ASA programs include excursions, volunteer opportunities, housing, meals, academic credits, transcripts, mobile phones, airport pick-up on arrival, medical insurance and more! Contact ASA or your advisor to learn about ASA’s Price Guarantee for all of our programs.
 COURSES
You will find yourself alongside local people (sevillanos) at cafes along the river and settling in to the various parks and city squares with intricate decoration developed for the World Fair. You will study in the south of Spain at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in the beautiful Andalucían region. Pablo de Olavide is one of the youngest and smallest public universities in Spain, and it prides itself on innovative research and highly educated faculty. Classes are held Monday to Thursday.

This program is for students at all levels of Spanish language. You will study Spanish grammar and conversation as well as Spanish culture. Electives are offered in both Spanish and English in a number of different subject areas including: English-Spanish Translation, Spanish History, Spanish Art History, Spanish Literature, Political Science, Business, Marketing Finance, Economics, Biology, Sociology, Film, Flamenco, and Social Work. Language level placement exams will be taken at the beginning of the program. A full list of classes for this program can be found on the ASA website through the link at the top of this page.
