Who Should Apply

The Fund for Education Abroad gives preference to students with demonstrated financial need, and strongly encourages students to apply who represent a group that is traditionally underrepresented in education abroad.

Resources, tips & help:

• Official UC Merced transcripts are required of all students (except those who have not yet completed their first term at UC Merced). Learn how to order transcripts quickly and cheaply.
• This award requires a letter of recommendation; start cultivating relationships with professors now so that they can write more powerful and compelling recommendations for you. Be sure to give faculty at least 2 weeks notice and keep in mind many faculty are not on campus during winter break.
